Julia Cybularz is an artist working in Philadelphia and New York City. In 2000, she graduated with honors from Drexel University and went on to earn her MFA from The School of Visual Arts in 2007. Julia’s work has been exhibited nationally and internationally. She has received numerous awards for her photography and video work including an Aaron Siskind grant as well as The School of Visual Arts’ alumni scholarship. In addition to her graduate studies, Julia has studied under notable photographers Mary Ellen Mark and Tina Barney. Her work has recently been selected for publication in American Photo 23, PDN and Critical Mass. Her work was chosen by Senior Curator Ingrid Schaffner from the Institute of Contemporary Art for the 84th Annual International Competition. It will be displayed at the Print Center in Philadelphia from May 1-July 24th, 2010.
In 2011, Julia will be participating in a show at The Centro Fotografico Alvarez Bravo in Oaxaca.
